πΎ Efficacy of Four Non-destructive Methods for Estimating Aboveground Biomass in Subtropical Grasslands π±
In this study, four non-destructive approaches were tested to estimate biomass in subtropical grasslands ππΏ. These methods include remote sensing via drones ππ·, leaf area index measurements ππ, visual height and cover assessments π±π, and spectral analysis using portable sensors ππ. Each method was evaluated for accuracy, efficiency, and ease of use, helping researchers identify the best tools for sustainable monitoring.
The results showed that some methods are highly accurate and time-saving , while others provide rapid, large-scale estimates for landscape-level monitoring ππ. By adopting non-destructive techniques, scientists and land managers can protect grassland biodiversity ππ¦, track ecosystem changes, and support climate-smart practices ππ±.
